Compelling image from the internet

In the last two decades, online platforms have revolutionised the media landscape to become the principal streaming source of news and opinion. They've also transformed our experience of making, exhibiting and viewing art.

Just as citizen reporting circumvents traditional editorial control, so self-publishing frees visual artists from the strictures of physical venues and the hierarchy of the gallery system.

Hence Necklace for the Post-truth Era. There's no commodity; nothing to see in the gallery except a card bearing the url of this website. Over the 24 days of the show, the piece will build to a virtual necklace; a series of  jewels whose chain is my research, my art practice and happenings in my life.
